PENRO CAM NORTE CONDUCTS INFORMATION DRIVE IN CELEBRATION OF MONTH OF THE PLANET EARTH. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camarines Norte headed by OIC, PENR Officer Marlon C. Francia recently spearheaded a Communication, Education, and Public Awareness (CEPA) Campaign at Brgy. Salvacion, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte as part of the celebration of the Month of the Planet Earth with the theme, “Invest in our Planet”. The activity was participated in by the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation members, Local Government Unit (LGU) personnel of Jose Panganiban, and Barangay LGU of Salvacion, Camarines Norte. The topics discussed include Philippine Biodiversity, Climate Change, Mangroves and Seagrass Ecosystems, Land Titling, and various environmental laws. (With report from PENRO Camarines Norte)

RED MILLA, ARD TS SOPSOP VISITS PENRO CAMARINES NORTE TO OVERSEE IMPLEMENTATION OF PRIORITY PROGRAMS. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla, Jr. CESO III together with the Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop, CESE visited the Camarines Norte Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) to oversee the implementation of the DENR priority programs in the province. “It is of paramount importance that we personally visit and confer with the field offices in order to ensure the smooth flow of public service and to address pertinent issues and concerns, if there are any, arising within the provincial level”, RED Milla said. PENRO CAM NORTE STRENGTHENS INFORMATION CAMPAIGN ON RAFFLESIA MANILLANA. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camarines Norte headed by OIC, PENR Officer Marlon C. Francia strengthens its Information and Education Campaign (IEC) about Rafflesia manillana through an interview aired over GMA News recently. PENRO Francia said that the species is an endemic plant found in the Philippines and were seen at Mt. Guinatungan, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte, which blooms during the months of April and May. Further, he explained that the gathering of Rafflesia, or any other plant, especially those which are endemic and extinct, are highly prohibited and the violation may result to imprisonment, payment of corresponding fines, or both. PENRO CAM NORTE PARTICIPATES IN THE INTENSIFIED DUTERTE LEGACY CARAVAN. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camarines Norte headed by OIC, PENR Officer Marlon C. Francia recently participated in the intensified Duterte Legacy Caravan spearheaded by the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office at Camp Wenceslao Q. Vinzons Sr., Dogongan, Daet, Camarines Norte. The activity aims to harmonize the effective and efficient delivery of programs, projects, and efforts of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration on the delivery of basic services. PENRO Camarines Norte distributed fifty (50) Bitaog seedlings, and Information and Education Campaign (IEC) collaterals and materials about the requirements of Free Patent application.
