Caravan Legacy

DENR BICOL JOINS DUTERTE LEGACY CARAVAN. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol represented by Assistant Reginal Director (ARD) for Management Services Grace L. Cariño, Ph.D and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Albay headed by Engr. Jerry R. Arena, together with various national government agencies joined the Duterte Legacy Caravan on April 25, 2022 at the Camp General Simeon Ola, Legazpi City. The caravan with the theme, “Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” was hosted by the Police Regional Office (PRO) V aims to bring government services closer to the people. DENR Bicol has served some 184 individuals during the caravan and provided them information, education campaign (IEC) materials including Narra, Mahogany, Santol and Lipote seedlings.

DENR BICOL CAPACITATES MIDDLE MANAGERS THROUGH COACHING AND MENTORING. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol headed by Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla, Jr., CESO III spearheaded the conduct of coaching and mentoring workshop for middle managers on April 18-19, 2022 at DENR V Hamada Hall and the zoom platform. With the objective of enabling middle managers in the Department to build better relationships with their team members to achieve organizational excellence, the Human Resource Development Section (HRDS) spearheaded the said workshop for both technical and non-technical supervisors regionwide with Salary Grade 15 to 24. The coaching and mentoring workshop discussed the topics such as: Difference between Coaching and Mentoring, Ways on Coaching and Mentoring an Employee, Benefits of Effective Coaching and Mentoring, and Coaching Plan as compared to Coaching Form.  RED Francisco Milla said that the workshop is a timely initiative to equip the Department supervisors with the necessary skills to be an effective coach and mentor.

Cam Norte Flying FoxPENRO CAM NORTE STRENGTHENS INFORMATION CAMPAIGN ON FLYING FOXES THRU GMA NEWS. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camarines Norte headed by OIC, PENR Officer Marlon C. Francia strengthen its Information and Education Campaign (IEC) about Flying Foxes through an interview aired over GMA News. PENRO Francia said that the species are being closely monitored by the Office quarterly. Further, he explained the importance of flying foxes in the ecosystem. “Flying Foxes must be appreciated by our community because they play a vital role in balancing the ecosystem,” PENRO Francia added. Cam Norte HandgunPENRO CAM NORTE JOINS HANDGUN FAMILIARIZATION AND PRECISION TRAINING. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camarines Norte headed by OIC, PENR Officer Marlon C. Francia joined the Handgun Familiarization and Precision Training spearheaded by the Camarines Norte Provincial Police Office (PPO) and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team at Camp Wenceslao Q. Vinzons, Sr., Brgy. Dogongan, Daet, Camarines Norte. The training was attended by PENRO Francia together with the Monitoring and Enforcement Section (MES) employees and other staff. “PENRO Camarines Norte aims to equip and capacitate its personnel especially those who are deployed in the field in the exigency of the service,” PENRO Francia said. Catanduanes MOPADENR V, LGU SAN ANDRES IN CATANDUANES SIGN MOPA. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V headed by Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla, Jr., CESO III, together with Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Technical Services Atty. Ronnel Sopsop, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Catanduanes led by Imelda D. Baltazar, Licenses, Patents and Deeds Division (LPDD) Chief Ferdinand L. Baltazar recently signed a Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Andres in the province of Catanduanes represented by Hon. Mayor Peter C. Cua and the Municipal Assessor Rosemarie S. Zafe. The MOPA which aims to hasten the implementation of the Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) will better direct land titling and generate land administration profiles necessary for the LGU's socio-economic and sustainable development. The activity is an initiative under President Rodrigo Duterte's 10-year National Titling Program, which includes "ensuring land tenure security to stimulate investments and remove land management bottlenecks." The MOPA signing was conducted at LGU San Andres Conference Hall on March 22, 2022. The event was also graced by members of Sangguniang Bayan (SB) San Andres, other Head of Officers of LGU San Andres, guests from DENR V Regional Office and PENRO Catanduanes personnel.
