Catanduanes MOOPENRO CATANDUANES CONDUCTS CEPA ACTIVITY AS PART OF THE 2022 MONTH OF THE OCEAN CELEBRATION. As part of the 2022 Month of the Ocean celebration, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Catanduanes headed by PENR Officer Imelda D. Baltazar conducted a Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) Campaign to some residents of Magnesia Del Sur, Virac, Catanduanes during the release of Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas) hatchlings on May 10, 2022. “It is uplifting  to know that because of our continuous Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) campaigns, the local residents are aware that sea turtle hatchlings must be reported to the nearest DENR Field Office for rescue, tagging release and to monitor the species’ migratory patterns, growth rates, survival, and reproductive output,” PENRO Baltazar said.She lauds the effort of the local community who contributed in the conservation and protection of wildlife species and their habitats to promote ecological balance and enhance biological diversity. DENR BICOL CAPACITATES EMPLOYEES THROUGH DYNAMICS OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR WORKSHOP. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol headed by Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla, Jr., CESO III spearheaded the conduct of Dynamics of Human Behavior and Interpersonal Relationships in the Workplace Workshop for DENR V employees on April 21-22, 2022 at DENR V Hamada Hall and through the Zoom platform. With the objective of providing direction in the development and implementation of programs that are aligned with the Department’s strategic plan and ensuring the high performance and organizational productivity of employees, the Human Resource Development Section (HRDS) spearheaded the said workshop regionwide. RED Francisco Milla said that the workshop is a timely initiative to remind the employees about the basics of DENR core values as a form of public service and its application in the workplace. Through the conduct of the workshop, the DENR Bicol is hopeful that its workforce will resolve interpersonal difficulties in the workplace and will foster the development of a more competent and efficient performance through capacitating and strengthening the employees’ habits and attitudes.

Budget Proposal

DENR BICOL CONDUCTS TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR BUDGET PROPOSAL FOR FY 2023. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol headed by Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr., CESO III conducted a Training Workshop for Budget Proposal for FY 2023 on April 26 to 27, 2022 at the DENR V Hamada Hall, Regional Center Site, Rawis, Legazpi City. The training workshop was participated in by employees of the Regional and the Field Offices who serve as the budget controllers of their respective offices. The training workshop aimed to orient the employees on the budget timeline and provide support to the Offices in the preparation of budget allocation/expenditures.

Caravan Legacy

DENR BICOL JOINS DUTERTE LEGACY CARAVAN. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol represented by Assistant Reginal Director (ARD) for Management Services Grace L. Cariño, Ph.D and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Albay headed by Engr. Jerry R. Arena, together with various national government agencies joined the Duterte Legacy Caravan on April 25, 2022 at the Camp General Simeon Ola, Legazpi City. The caravan with the theme, “Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” was hosted by the Police Regional Office (PRO) V aims to bring government services closer to the people. DENR Bicol has served some 184 individuals during the caravan and provided them information, education campaign (IEC) materials including Narra, Mahogany, Santol and Lipote seedlings.

Middle Managers

DENR BICOL CAPACITATES MIDDLE MANAGERS THROUGH COACHING AND MENTORING. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol headed by Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla, Jr., CESO III spearheaded the conduct of coaching and mentoring workshop for middle managers on April 18-19, 2022 at DENR V Hamada Hall and the zoom platform. With the objective of enabling middle managers in the Department to build better relationships with their team members to achieve organizational excellence, the Human Resource Development Section (HRDS) spearheaded the said workshop for both technical and non-technical supervisors regionwide with Salary Grade 15 to 24. The coaching and mentoring workshop discussed the topics such as: Difference between Coaching and Mentoring, Ways on Coaching and Mentoring an Employee, Benefits of Effective Coaching and Mentoring, and Coaching Plan as compared to Coaching Form.  RED Francisco Milla said that the workshop is a timely initiative to equip the Department supervisors with the necessary skills to be an effective coach and mentor.
