The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V through the Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG) conducted an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign and launched the “Tayo ang Kalikasan” Program in celebration of the 6th Founding Anniversary of the Bicol University Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance and Development (BUJMRIGD) with the theme, ”JMRIGD towards Productive Scholarship, Transformative Leadership, Collaborative Service and Distinctive Character for Sustainable Societies” at the Bulwagang Bueno, 3rd floor Student Union Center, Bicol University, Legazpi City on March 16, 2023.
 
The launching, which aims to capacitate and mobilize the youth in the protection, conservation and preservation of the natural resources was attended by three hundred thirty-six (336) students, teaching and non-teaching staff of BU JMRIGD.
 
DENR Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla Jr. said that TAK is DENR’s platform to advocate for the optimal, responsible, and sustainable use of our resources. “Through the TAK, we hope to transform the behavior and action, especially of our youth, towards conservation of our environment,” he added.
 
DENR Bicol continues to encourage all sectors of the community to participate in environmental campaigns that will help and contribute to preserving the country’s natural resources and environment.###
