Environment Secretary Gina Lopez (extreme right, standing) talks about the two principles which she will follow in leading DENR to achieve its goals: Convergence and Area Management. Convergence, she said during a meeting with Environment and Natural Resources Officers (ENROs) of various local government units, means to tie up with other government agencies, while Area Management is managing the two arms of the DENR, the development and the business arm. During the meeting held Wednesday (August 10) at the DENR central office in Quezon City, the ENROs proposed different environmental programs, particularly enhnanced ENR law enforcement at the local level, including conduct of waste-to-energy summit, to Lopez.  Also present in the said meeting is former Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn (seated last at the right side). ###
