The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V headed by Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr. conducted its Culminating Activity in celebration of the Women’s Month 2023 with the theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” on March 31, 2023 at the DENR V Regional Office, Rawis, Legazpi City.

 

Participated in by DENR V personnel and student interns of Bicol University, the activity aimed to celebrate women’s achievements and acknowledge their contributions and roles around the world.

 

In his message, RED Milla said that we have to remind ourselves how women are worthy to be honored. “Breaking the gender biases and women empowerment would significantly contribute not only to the country’s progress but also in achieving a sustainable and resilient environment. Let us continue empowering women not just today but until beyond,” he added.

 

The DENR Bicol supports activities that equip and strengthen the participation of all its personnel to continually promote equality and effective attainment of goals for a better environment. ###
