The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Mobo headed by CENR Officer Jean V. Imperial equipped their Forest Officers with a new set of hiking pants, drift shirts and caps, which when worn together, serve as their official uniform when patrolling our forests and enforcing our environmental laws.

 

The provision of uniform aims to identify and distinguish forest officers during enforcement activities pursuant to DENR Administrative Order 2018-21, which adopted Lawin Patrolling as a national strategy for forest and biodiversity protection in the Philippines and in line with the continuing efforts of the Department to strengthen the enforcement capabilities of all forest officers.

 

Further, the prescribed uniform will serve as a distinctive clothing to identify the forest rangers patrolling in the field and to convey an emblem of authority.

“Our forest officers conduct environmental monitoring especially in the forest and in high conservation value areas. The new set of uniforms provided by the Forest Management Bureau (FMB) will be valuable in our bid to implement intervention strategies and the full implementation of environmental laws, rules and regulations,” CENRO Jean Imperial said.

 

CENRO Mobo, one of the DENR Field Offices with most threats addressed, received twelve (12) sets of patrol work uniform from the Forest Management Bureau (FMB).
