DENR BICOL JOINS 14TH ALAY LAKAD TANIM KAHOY PARA SA PUSO CUM CITY ARBOR DAY IN LEGAZPI

The Assistant Secretary for Field Operations Southern Luzon and Regional Executive Director of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region IV-A Gilbert C. Gonzales gave his message before the commencement of the Alay Lakad and Tree Planting Activity. “Let us continue with this kind of activities, which greatly contributes not only to the community but also to the environment as well. Though this may be a great challenge to all the agencies, let us not forget the great cause and significance of what we are doing,” ASec Gonzales said.

Moreover, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Albay headed by PENR Officer Imelda D. Baltazar led the orientation on proper handling and planting of the Narra seedlings. This was followed by the message of Legazpi City Vice Mayor Oscar Robert H. Cristobal. “We hope that we will not lose the will and commitment in caring and giving back to mother nature,” Vice Mayor Cristobal said as he also expressed his gratitude to all the participants.

The DENR V Assistant Regional Director for Management Services (ARD MS) Engr. Eva S. Ocfemia was also present together with the other DENR V Officials and Staff. Various national agencies and the local government units in Legazpi also joined and participated in the said activity. *DJJ
