The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol with its program on Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) continually strengthen its partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bulusan, Sorsogon headed by Hon. Mayor Michael G. Guysayko.

A meeting was held between the LGU of Bulusan and the DENR V RLTA Team led by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services (ARD TS) Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop on January 24, 2020 at Bulusan, Sorsgon. The gathering shed light on the purpose and the benefits of the RLTA.

The DENR V Surveys and Mapping Division Chief, Engr. Josie A. Columna shared that the cadastral survey for Bulusan was already approved. With this, ARD TS encouraged Mayor Guysayko to enter into agreement with the DENR V through a Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA). Moreover, a resolution authorizing the Mayor to engage to the agreement is needed from the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bulusan.

Furthermore, ARD Sopsop encouraged Mayor Guysayko to designate an assessor as the Focal Person for the RLTA Program to start the profiling and other preliminary activities. The Mayor showed his openness to the RLTA and may allocate certain funds for the coming year.*DJJ
