Over one hundred thousand pesos (Php 100,000.00) worth of cash donated by the DENR V Officials and a total of one thousand two hundred (1,200) face masks  and two (2) boxes of hygiene kits were donated by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol, together with the collaborative support and efforts of the DENR Employees' Union (DENREU), DENR Bicol Multi-purpose Cooperative (DBMC), the Bicol Burlanders Credit Cooperative, Inc. (BBCCI), Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Bicol, Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Bicol and Dr. Menba Diaz of the Albay Dentists’ Association to the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Batangas last January 21, 2020. The goods and the cash donations were personally delivered by DENR Bicol OIC, Regional Executive Director Atty. Gil A. Aromin himself.

Aside from the cash, face masks, and hygiene kits the MGB V also conducted relief operations and transported "Nomad", MGB V'S water purifier to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sto. Tomas, Batangas and MGB IV (CALABARZON) on January 15 to 19, 2020.

The assistance provided by DENR Bicol is its way of giving back the help that the province of Albay received during the eruption of Mt. Mayon last January 2018.

The Taal Volcano erupted on January 12, 2020, 43 years after its previous eruption in 1977, affecting Batangas and its nearby provinces. The DENR Bicol extended help to the affected victims through the PENRO Batangas led by Forester Jose Elmer C. Bascos.
