Turn Over PENRO Sor January 2020

 

Two consecutive turn-over ceremonies were held at the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Sorsogon and Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) San Jacinto in the province of Masbate were held on January 15 and 16, 2020, respectively. The turn-overs were witnessed by OIC, Regional Executive Director Atty. Gil A. Aromin and OIC, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop with the PENRO Sorsogon, PENRO Masbate and CENRO San Jacinto personnel.

Outgoing OIC, PENRO of Sorsogon Ma. Fe P. Reganit turned-over her duties and responsibilities to OIC, PENR Officer Herleo O. Pavericio. Consequently, outgoing San Jacinto CENR Officer Herleo O. Pavericio turned-over his duties and responsibilities to Supervising Ecosystem Management Specialist (SVEMS) Basil S. Camba.

In his message during the ceremonial turn-over in PENRO Sorsogon, OIC, RED Aromin said, “We must accept that everything changes, things has to come and go. We must learn to welcome new challenges." Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to all PENRO Sorsogon personnel, especially the out-going OIC, PENRO/Chief Technical Services Division (TSD) for her support to the Regional Office.

On the other hand, PENRO Pavericio said that the turn-over event is like a marriage between the PENRO and the Division/Section staff and personnel. If both parties are good and both are compliant 100% compliant to the mandates, it is called destiny. If one party is not good and the other is excellent, it is called luck. But, if both are not good and both fails in accomplishment as partners, it is a dishonor.

Moreover, PENRO Pavericio dealt on 3 management principles: (1) Always protect and serve the department (2) Always protect, preserve and manage your supervisor and (3) Always protect, preserve, manage the self well.

In addition, OIC, RED Aromin challenged incoming PENRO Herleo O. Pavericio to lay the cards on the table and be transparent. RED Aromin said that leaders in Sorsogon are very active in the implementation of environmental laws and are also very supportive to all environmental programs, as such, he challenged PENRO Pavericio to work double time to meet the demands of the local leaders for environmental development.

Meanwhile, the turn-over of the leadership of CENRO San Jacinto was witnessed by OIC, ARD TS Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop representing OIC, RED Aromin together with the PENRO Masbate personnel headed by PENR Officer Tito R. Migo.

“I hereby turn-over to you the very able CENRO San Jacinto working force, the Office assets, and our good records in accomplishing targets,” outgoing CENRO Pavericio said. In his message, he thanked all personnel who, in one way or another helped CENRO San Jacinto to deliver its targets.

In response, incoming CENRO Camba said, “I fully accept the responsibilities and rest assured that I will give my best in the interest of public service and bring the name of CENRO San Jacinto to greater heights.”

OIC, ARD-TS Atty. Sopsop, on the other hand, stressed in his message that the trust and confidence of the DENR V top management should not be wasted because they were considered as the chosen few. “Rest assured that the support of the management is 100%, do not put to waste the opportunity given to you. Let us all work hard for the benefit of our stakeholders and the environment,” he said.

Further, the installation of PENR Officer Engr. Jerry R. Arena as the new head of PENRO Catanduanes will be held on January 20 at Virac, Catanduanes. The same ceremony will be witnessed by DENR and PENRO Catanduanes personnel.

The change of leadership in CENRO San Jacinto is pusuant to Regional Special Order No. 2020-007 signed by Regional Executive Director Atty. Gil A. Aromin dated January 10, 2020.
