Mascot Launching January 2020

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol, along with its line bureaus, the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) V and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) V kickstarted the year with the launching of its mascots on January 6, 2020 at the DENR V Gymnasium.

Three (3) identified mascots were introduced during the program, namely: "Greeny" for the DENR V, "Mina" for the MGB V, and "Veron" for the EMB V. The mascots were presented after a joyous dance number. The DENR V mascot 'Greeny' was presented by the Regional Public Affairs Office (RPAO) Chief, Ms. Ancie L. Lawenko, in which she highlighted the new and refurbished parts of the mascot. Greeny was first launched in 2014. EMB Information Officer (IO) Jacinth R. Tacuyan also presented Veron, which was followed by the presentation of Mina by MGB V IO Kristine M. Baldeo. The mascot presentation highlighted its features and significance in strengthening the Information, Education Campaign (IEC) of the Department.

The mascots were launched during the first Monday Program of 2020, which was attended by the OIC, Regional Executive Director Atty. Gil A. Aromin, the Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop, Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Engr. Eva S. Ocfemia, the MGB V OIC Regional Director Engr. Guillermo A. Molina, Jr, IV, and the employees of the DENR V. *DJJ
