A total of 21 individuals, institutions and programs, hailed as ‘water champions’ proudly present to media their trophiesduring the World Water Day (WWD) awarding ceremony held Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Novotel Hotel in Quezon City. The awardees were selected for promoting water and environmental sustainability either through their own initiative or as partner of the government. The WWD Awards 2019 was organized by the environment department’s National Water Resources Board (NWRB) and water concessionaire Maynilad. On hand to give out the awards to the water champs were: NWRB Executive Director Sevillo David Jr. (onstage, ninth from right), Maynilad Chief Finance Officer Ricardo de los Reyes (partly hidden onstage, fourth from left), and Cabinet Secretary KarloNograles (onstage, 11th from left). ###
