PENRO CATANDUANES WINS FIRST PLACE IN OTOP CONTEST. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Catanduanes headed by PENR Officer Imelda D. Baltazar won First Place in the One Town, One Product (OTOP) booth contest on July 5, 2022 at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V, Regional Center Site, Rawis, Legazpi City. The OTOP booth contest was part of the lined-up activities during the DENR V Sportsfest 2022 which aims to promote the local products in the Bicol Region. The OTOP booths displayed tangible products and skill-based services. Each booth was judged according to the criteria: Originality-30%, Selection of Materials-30%, Quality of Workmanship-20%, Overall Presentation-20%, for a total of 100%. The booths and OTOP products were judged by Mr. Ruperto Generoso, Tourist Information Officer of the Department of Tourism (DOT) V, Ms. Suzette Briozo, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) V, and Mr. Ricky Mendoza, Instructor III of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) V. PENRO Catanduanes bested the eight other display booths and received Php 10,000.00. PENRO Camarines Norte placed second and won Php 7,000.00 and PENRO Sorsogon and Camarines Sur placed third and won Php 5,000.00 each.
