A Reticulated Python (Malayopython reticulatus) was rescued and turned-over to the Conservation and Development Division through its Protected Area Management and Biodiversity Conservation Section (PAMBCS) on January 29, 2021. The python which was found at the Oriental Albay, Legazpi City was turned-over by Mr. Glenn Jason Dineros and Mr. Edcel C. Antonio.  Upon the examination by the PAMBCS staff, the python has a total length of one hundred (100) centimeters and weighs approximately five hundred (500) grams. Being in good condition, it was consequently released on the same day by FMS II Jennica Anne Mendoza and CEO Cyrus Job Dela Cruz at the Mount Mayon Natural Park, Sto. Domingo, Albay. The Reticulated Python is categorized as threatened species under the DENR Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2019-09. As such, DENR Bicol OIC, Regional Executive Director Atty. Antonio A.
