In celebration of World Wetlands Day, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Albay headed by PENR Officer Imelda D. Baltazar along with the participants from Alliance of Bacman Farmers Association, Incorporated (ALBAFAI), Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manito and some residents of Barangay Cawit, gathered for a coastal clean-up along the shores of Brgy. Cawit, Manito, Albay on February 4, 2020.  The coastal clean-up which was headed by PENRO Albay Supervising Ecosystems Management Specialist (SvEMS) Gemma C. Lavilla was able to gather approximately 10 sacks of garbage identified as mostly food wrappers, shampoo sachets, used diapers, plastic bags and tin cans. A brief Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) campaign was conducted by SvEMS Lavilla on caring for our wetlands and proper coastal waste management. *JMAP
