The Students from San Rafael National High School in the province of Camarines Sur joined the recently conducted Annual Waterbird Census (AWC) at Cabusao Critical Habitat in Cabusao, Camarines Sur. After a long walk in a muddy mangrove site, while sighting some waterbird species, these students increased their understanding of the importance of waterbirds and their wetland habitat. Moreover, the AWC aims to build and strengthen the networks of volunteers, insomuch that every year, they encourage people from all walks of life to actively participate in this annual activity.
