PASSING THE TORCH: FORESTER IV ANRO B. ORLANES APPOINTED AS OIC CHIEF OF THE TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION
 
The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Catanduanes welcomed its new Officer-In-Charge (OIC), Chief of Technical Services Division (TSD) Forester IV Anro B. Orlanes in a turnover ceremony held at Virac, Catanduanes on January 22, 2024.
 
By virtue of Special Order No. 2024-009 dated January 11, 2024, Orlanes succeeded Cyril C. Magdaraog as OIC, Chief of TSD. Orlanes started his career in PENRO Camarines Sur on July 28, 1996 as Casual forester until his promotion as Forester I on May 7, 1997.
 
The turnover ceremony was led by DENR Bicol Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr., along with Assistant Regional Director for Management Services (ARD-MS) Ronnel B. Astor, ARD for Technical Services (ARD-TS) Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop, and ARD for Special Concerns (ARD-SC) Adona P. San Diego.
 
In his message, RED Milla expressed his great pleasure to welcome the incoming OIC, Chief of TSD Orlanes. “As we start the year anew, I am happy to have a new leadership at PENRO Catanduanes. Change is good as long as we become more productive and inspired in our daily public service,” he said.
 
Moreover, he also challenged Orlanes to be an exemplar of excellence, responsibility and integrity. “Much is expected from you. But I have the utmost trust and confidence that you will take on the task of leading this great team of people,” he said. Furthermore, RED Milla enjoins all PENRO Catanduanes personnel to work together to accomplish the Agency's goals. “I am asking all of you to give him the necessary support and cooperation for a better service to the people of Catanduanes,” he added. 
 
Orlanes showed his appreciation to the outgoing Chief of TSD. “I want to express my sincere appreciation to the TSD Chief of Catanduanes for his exceptional leadership and dedication. Under his guidance, the Division has achieved remarkable milestones, and I am committed to building upon this strong foundation,” he said in his message.
 
 
Also present during the ceremony were Catanduanes PENR Officer, Imelda D. Baltazar, Management Services Division (MSD) Chief, Ma. Juliet S. Araojo, Regional Office Enforcement Division (ED) Chief, Armando A. Omolida, and PENRO Catanduanes personnel.###
