DENR REGIONAL OFFICE OPENS WELLNESS GYM

As part of the health and wellness program of the Department and in support to Memorandum Circular 2011-08 or the reiteration of “The Great Filipino Workout” Physical Fitness Program of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), the Administrative Division headed by OIC, Chief Administrative Officer Dolores C. Vargas opens the Office Wellness Gym to its employees at the DENR Regional Office Wellness Gym on March 29, 2021.

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony was attended by Asst. Regional Director for Management Services, Engr. Eva. S. Ocfemia, OIC, Regional Director for Technical Services Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop and Head Executive Assistant Atty. Ma. Lovella Diaz-Castro.

In her message, OIC, Chief Administrative Officer Dolores C. Vargas encouraged all the DENR employees to use and grab the opportunity to look after their health and participate in all health and wellness activities of the Office. “You can visit our Wellness Gym and finally get fit in your spare time. We hope we can make our equipment double its number by end of this year and introduce additional gym gears and add more equipment in the coming years”, she added.

Meanwhile, the gym rules will be strictly imposed to all the users. The Wellness Gym is one of the several plans of the Office towards encouraging physical fitness to all employees to develop a healthy and alert workforce.
