The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Guinobatan, Albay headed by CENR Officer Narisol C. Divina recently seized a total of three hundred eighty-five (385) pieces of abandoned undocumented Acacia flitches with a total volume of 11,878 board feet at Sitio Gogon, Tupas, Ligao City.
 
The apprehension was undertaken by the CENRO Guinobatan Monitoring and Enforcement Section.
 
No possessor, claimant, custodian or interested party to the Acacia flitches were present during the apprehension.
 
“DENR Bicol and CENRO Guinobatan continues to intensify our campaign against violation of Section 77 of Presidential Decree 705 otherwise known as the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines, as amended,” CENRO Divina said.
 
Upon proper inventory and documentation, the apprehended forest products were hauled with the help of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Albay 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) and were placed under the custody of CENRO Guinobatan for safekeeping and Administrative Confiscation Proceedings under DENR Administrative Order (DAO) 97-32.
