The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V through the Planning and Management Division (PMD) conducted a Planning Workshop for FY 2022 Budget Proposals and Forward Estimates Preparation in Legazpi City on January 9 to 11, 2021.

The workshop was participated in by the Planning Officers of the DENR V Regional and Field Offices and was conducted via online and in-person while following minimum health protocols.

The targets and budgetary requirements proposed include those for the forestry, lands, protected areas and coastal management and were presented by the Regional and Field Offices.

Meanwhile, DENR V Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Technical Services (TS) Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop and ARD for Management Services (MS) Engr. Eva S. Ocfemia were also present to evaluate the budget proposals and ensure that all are consistent with the priority programs and mandates of the DENR.

DENR V OIC, Regional Executive Director (RED) Atty. Antonio A. Abawag in his message said, “There is already a draft guidelines for FY 2022 Budget Proposal Preparation and it is important for us to adhere to this so we can effectively and efficiently determine our targets for next year. We need sound planning to do this.”
