The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR) V is strengthening its fight against COVID-19 thru the strict implementation of Memorandum Circular No. 2020-10 otherwise known as, “Guidelines on the Investigation of COVID-19 Cases and Contact Tracing of Close Contacts” issued by Secretary Roy A. Cimatu on October 16, 2020.

During the Monday Frag Raising Ceremony, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Special Concerns and COVID-19 Regional Focal Person, Samuel C. Danganan encouraged all personnel to cooperate in the observance of health protocols to curtail the spread of the virus. ARD Danganan conveyed to all personnel of the Regional Office the importance of practicing the Minimum Public Health Standards (MPHS).  Furthermore, he pointed out that the Regional COVID Team will create a Contact Tracing Team (CTT) and will plan for the possible installation of high-tech equipment with contactless body temperature detection and database recording capability.

With the plans being anticipated, the DENR V under the leadership of OIC, Regional Executive Director Atty. Antonio A. Abawag continues to strictly observe the health protocols in all the office activities and transactions. This is also associated with the simultaneous conduct of office disinfection and defogging activity as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.  Any personnel found to be experiencing the symptoms and/or had a contact with an infected person is advised to immediately inform their respective supervisors to determine the proper actions to be taken. Further, RED Abawag reminded all the personnel to be observant in their environment, especially in their workplaces and to maintain the cleanliness in and outside the office.
