The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V through the Conservation and Development Division (CDD) conducted an online assessment and workshop on the projects under the Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) - Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) participated in by the CBFM-CARP coordinators of the field offices on December 1 to 3, 2020.

Topics discussed include the review of agreements made during the 3rd Quarter assessment, compliance and recommendations; physical and financial accomplishment reports per province; planned activities for 2021; concerns on maps, Community Based Forest Management Agreement (CBFMA), fragmentation, retention fees for 2019 projects; and the work and financial plans for 2022 to 2023.

            The CBFM-CARP projects implemented by the DENR continues to bring benefits to upland farmers through the implementation of various livelihood and agro-forestry projects in the region. The projects under CBFM are carried out to improve the productivity of upland communities by generating additional income and to promote food security.
