WETLANDS IN SORSOGON ASSESSED

The Cawayan Falls at Barangay Cawayan in Irosin, Sorsogon was one of the six (6) wetlands recently assessed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through the Conservation and Development Division (CDD) and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Sorsogon. The findings of the assessment will be utilized in assisting the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Irosin in formulating Ecotourism Management Plans in the areas. These management plans are important in managing and conserving the environment and natural resources.
