PENRO SORSOGON RESCUES LESSER FRIGATEBIRD

The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Sorsogon headed by OIC, PENR Officer Herleo O. Pavericio rescued and retrieved one (1) Lesser Frigatebird (Fregata ariel) at Barangay Dapdap, Bulusan, Sorsogon. The female Lesser Frigatebird has a wingspan measuring 1.72 meters with a long forked tail and a massive curved tip bill. The PENRO Sorsogon Rescue Team conducted the interview, inspection, proper assessment and recovery of the wildlife species. The same was turned over to Irosin Wildlife Center for temporary shelter, rehbailitation and recovery before its release to the wild.
