DENR, PARTNERS INSTALL TRASH TRAPS IN TULLAHAN RIVER

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretaries Jonas R. Leones (right) and Analiza Rebuelta-Teh (2nd from right) lead the installation of 12 and 34-meter trash trapsalong Tullahan River in Brgy. Novaliches Proper, Quezon City on September 21. The trash traps, made of plastic bottles enclosed in a fishing net, aim to prevent trash from flowing into the river which drains to Manila Bay.The activity is in support of the 2019 International Coastal Cleanup and the DENR’s Battle for Manila Bay. A total of 80 trash traps will be placed by Rotary International District 3780 along the Tullahan-Tinajeros River System. Others in photo are:BH partylist Rep.
