DENR DONATES CONFISCATED LUMBERS TO DEPED

PENRO Tito Migo of Masbate and Ricardo Marfiga, Principal of Masbate National Comprehensive High School (MNCHS) show the 562.26 board feet of assorted confiscated lumbers valued at 33,735.60 pesos, which Department of Environment and Natural Resources Bicol donated to be fabricated as new arm chairs. Confiscated lumbers that are free from all liens and encumbrances and with no cases filed in court are automatically considered part of DENR assets. The DENR for years, has donated confiscated lumbers to DepEd to be used in constructing schools, fabrication of arm chairs, desks, etc.. Last year, the donation to Deped and other agencies was estimated at 1,645 bd. ft.
