DENR Undersecretary Benny Antiporda (in suit and tie) answers queries from members of the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) on the rehabilitation of Boracay island. Antiporda stressed that hotel and establishment operations after the island’s opening on October 26 will be limited only to those accredited as compliant with environmental laws and other government regulations. He also expressed pride that “a much better Boracay” awaits tourists upon entry to the island. Joining Antiporda during the session are (from left to right): Chester Jay Alfaro, Marketing Director of Southwest Tours Boracay; Viveca Hutchison, President of Boracay Sandcastles; and Charo Logarta-Lagamon, Corporate Communications Director of Cebu Pacific Air. The session was part of the PHILTOA’s general membership meeting held on October 10, 2018 at the Seda Vertis North in Quezon City. ###
