Cimatu discussed the current thrusts of DENR in helping the business sector to achieve sustainable development during the Membership Luncheon Meeting organized by the European Chamber of Commerce at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Among the topics Cimatu discussed include clean energy and its influence over the agency’s role to move forward, facilitating efficient environmental clearances for investors, addressing the issue of landfills and dumpsites through waste-to-energy, and the state of the country’s water resources. ###
