Atty. Gil Arenajo Aromin, CESO IV

Atty. Gil A. Aromin is a native of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. He was born on August 9, 1955.  He graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Forestry at the Gregorio Araneta University. He took up Bachelor of Laws at the University of Pangasinan and passed the BAR in 1986.

Atty. Aromin entered the government service in 1976 at the Bureau of Forest Development in

Dagupan City as a Forester. After passing the BAR, he became the Trial Lawyer of DENR Region 2.

In 2000, he was appointed as Attorney V and Assistant Regional Executive Director for Legal

Services and Public Affairs. Consequently, he became the Chief Legal from 2003 until 2008.

He was appointed as OIC, Regional Director of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Cagayan Valley Region in 2008 concurrent with his being Chief of the Legal Division.

The following year, he was then appointed as Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Lands and concurrent Chief of the Legal Division.

In 2010, he was appointed as Director III while he was the RTD for Lands.

Atty. Aromin became the Assistant Regional Director Management Services of DENR Region 2 from

2015 until 2017.

On January 23, 2017, he became the OIC Regional Director of DENR Region 2 and consequently the

Regional Executive Director on August 15, 2018 until last Monday, January 7, 2018.

      A Philippine Serpent Eagle (Spilornis holospilus) was released by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Catanduanes headed by PENR Officer Engr. Jerry R. Arena on May 7, 2020 at Lictin, San Andres, Catanduanes.
